MDC’s Thermocouple Gauge Tubes provide fast, reliable, and remote vacuum measurement in the pressure range of 0.1 to 1000 micron Hg (0.13 to 133 Pa). Ideal for continuous monitoring under harsh operating conditions, these tubes must be properly matched with compatible instruments due to specific heater current requirements and thermocouple output specifications. Always consult the instrument manufacturer’s documentation for correct configuration.

Though some tubes have eight-pin connectors, only four pins are electrically active—see detailed pin-out diagrams for correct installation.

MDC offers two series to meet specific application needs:

UHV Series: Constructed with all-welded stainless steel, glass-insulated electrical connectors, and compatible with Conflat® mini-flanges or Cajon® VCR fittings. Bakeable to 150°C (302°F).
HV Series: Designed with nickel-plated steel shell and stem for enhanced corrosion resistance, and also bakeable to 150°C (302°F).
