MDC’s 2-1/2" (63.5 mm) All-Metal Angle Valves are engineered for ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) systems operating in high-temperature environments where elastomers and soft gaskets are not viable. These bakeable valves provide leak-tight sealing from atmosphere to below 1x10⁻¹¹ Torr, ensuring dependable performance in scientific research and industrial vacuum applications.

Constructed from type 304 stainless steel, these valves eliminate bonnet gasket seals when possible to reduce potential leak paths. Where bonnet seals are included, the design ensures easy gasket replacement. At room temperature, the valves can operate for hundreds of leak-free cycles, with performance tapering to ~50 cycles at the maximum bakeout temperature of 450°C (842°F).

MDC offers configurations compatible with Varian (“V” type) and Vacuum Generators (“VG” type) geometries for drop-in replacement in legacy systems. The Type "T" designation in the valve type column pertains to valves designed for either tube weld installation or custom flange attachment.
