The Dual Axis XY Stage V-Plane® from MDC is a modular motion control component designed to deliver high-precision sample positioning in ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) applications. It features micrometer-driven actuation and cross roller bearing guides, enabling smooth and stable movement across two axes.

Each micrometer includes a laser-etched plus-minus scale, allowing technicians to monitor ±0.5 inch to ±1 inch (±12.7 mm to ±25.4 mm) of X and Y port displacement. This stage can be used independently or stacked with single-axis Z stages, and guide tubes can be added for extended configuration options within the V-Plane® modular system.

Built from UHV-compatible materials and sealed with welded bellows, it is bakeable to 230°C (446°F) and fits ports with 1.5 to 4 inch (38.1 to 101.6 mm) bore diameters. Available with manual or motorized actuation, and easily mountable via Conflat® CF flanges, it ensures exceptional flexibility and control.
