MDC L-Gasket Sealed Feedthrough Collars are engineered to expand the utility of conventional bell jars by providing radially oriented access ports. These collars are available with four, eight, or eighteen ports, each fitted with either 2-3/4 inch (69.85 mm) Conflat CF metal seal flanges or ISO KF NW40 Kwik-Flange™ flanges.

The ports accept a wide range of standard MDC vacuum components, including electrical, fluid, and motion feedthroughs, enabling greater flexibility in system configuration.

To install a feedthrough collar, an MDC baseplate is required. The collar is positioned between the bell jar and the baseplate, and the seal is achieved using either an L-gasket elastomer or a circular cross-section elastomer, depending on the collar model. Specifically, L-gasket elastomers are used for feedthrough collars, while stainless steel bell jars employ a circular cross-section elastomer within the jar’s dovetail groove for secure sealing.
