MDC’s 6 Inch Gate Valves are engineered for high and ultrahigh vacuum (HV/UHV) environments requiring exceptional vacuum integrity, durability, and clean operation. Constructed from 300-series stainless steel with TIG-welded body joints, these valves offer fusion-welded strength and low outgassing, making them ideal for use in semiconductor fabrication, surface science, and industrial vacuum processes.

Designed to regulate or isolate flow with minimal wear, the valves incorporate MDC’s patented C-Loc® and Uni-Loc™ locking mechanisms, which eliminate contact between moving components and the valve body, ensuring vibration-free, long-lasting performance. With approximately 50% fewer moving parts than traditional gate valves, MDC valves minimize particulate generation, which is critical in cleanroom and contamination-sensitive settings.

Each UHV valve features welded AM-350 stainless steel bellows for leak-tight sealing and long cycle life, while dry film lubricated bearings enable smooth actuation.

HV series valves has excluded the welded AM-350 stainless steel bellows. This simplified construction lowers maintenance requirements and overall system costs, supporting efficient, long-term operation in high-performance vacuum conditions.

Available port options include Conflat 8 in (203.2 mm) flange, ISO NW160 Large-Flange™ LF (160 mm), and ANSI ASA6 (152.4 mm) connections. Manual and electropneumatic actuators are supported, and custom solutions are available for specialized systems.
