MDC’s 8 Inch (203.2 mm) Gate Valves are precision-engineered for use in high vacuum (HV) and ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) systems where clean performance, leak-tight integrity, and mechanical reliability are critical. Made from durable 300-series stainless steel with TIG-welded internal body joints, these valves offer exceptional strength and minimal outgassing, ideal for demanding environments such as semiconductor production, scientific research, and industrial vacuum applications.

The valves use MDC’s patented C-Loc® and UniLoc™ locking mechanisms, ensuring vibration-free sealing by eliminating contact between the valve body and locking components. This innovative design not only extends service life, but also reduces maintenance in sensitive vacuum environments.

With about 50% fewer moving parts than standard gate valves, the MDC design significantly reduces particulate generation and mechanical wear, making it highly suitable for cleanroom and contamination-sensitive systems.

UHV series valves have inclusion of a welded AM-350 stainless steel bellows actuator seal provides robust, long-cycle operation under extreme vacuum conditions.

HV series valves have excluded the welded AM-350 stainless steel bellows. This simplified construction lowers maintenance requirements and overall system costs, supporting efficient, long-term operation in high-performance vacuum conditions.
