MDC’s heavy duty pneumatic linear motion feedthroughs are engineered for two-position fast action motion of heavy in-vacuum components. Designed for repeatable open-close or in-out motions, these feedthroughs are ideal for vacuum shutter systems, load locks, or automated mechanical functions where consistency and speed are critical.

Available with fixed stroke lengths of 1 inch (25.4 mm), 2 inches (50.8 mm), or 3 inches (76.2 mm), the sample position is non-adjustable. Motion is powered by a pneumatic actuator, designed to operate with air solenoids up to 100 PSIG (6.9 bar).

Each unit is constructed with UHV-compatible materials for clean vacuum operation, and includes a welded stainless steel bellows seal to maintain vacuum integrity during motion. All models are mounted on industry-standard Conflat® CF flanges, ensuring compatibility with ultra-high vacuum system designs.
