MDC’s heavy duty push-pull linear motion feedthroughs are built to handle the increased mechanical demands of larger or heavier in-vacuum samples. Operating on a manual push-pull mechanism, these devices offer fast, two-position motion commonly used in shutter systems, mechanical gates, or sample manipulation tasks.

Unlike conventional models, these feedthroughs use reentrant welded bellows construction paired with larger diameter shafts, enhancing stability and strength. Though they do not feature position readouts, the actuator includes an integral linear position lock to hold the sample in place once set. Position is confirmed visually through a viewport.

Available with stroke lengths of 2", 4", or 6" (50.8, 101.6, or 152.4 mm), standard units mount on 2-3/4" Conflat® CF metal seal flanges. Custom stroke lengths, such as 3" (76.2 mm), are available upon request.
