MDC’s high temperature standard linear motion feedthroughs are engineered for reliable linear displacement of in-vacuum components, even in extreme thermal conditions. Constructed from robust 304 stainless steel, they endure the demands of high-temperature vacuum service with ease.

The linear position is tracked with high precision using a laser-etched barrel graduated in 0.001" (0.025 mm) increments. Each full revolution of the barrel produces 0.025" (0.635 mm) of linear movement. A secondary scale on the body provides measurements in both inches and millimeters, with increments of 0.025" (0.635 mm) and 1 mm (0.039"), respectively.

A combination of welded stainless steel bellows, a 40-pitch lead screw design, and linear bearing shaft support ensures lasting durability and dependable operation. The feedthroughs are compatible with standard Conflat® (CF) metal seal flanges, making them an ideal fit for a range of vacuum systems.
