MDC’s 1-1/2" inline all-metal valves are purpose-built for ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) environments where elevated temperatures eliminate the use of elastomers or soft gasket metals. These valves ensure robust metal-to-metal sealing from atmospheric pressure down to 1x10⁻¹¹ Torr (1.33x10⁻⁹ Pa). Bonnet gasket seals have been eliminated wherever possible to minimize potential leak paths. For valves requiring a bonnet seal, the structure is designed for easy gasket replacement.

At ambient conditions, the valves provide hundreds of leak-free cycles between gasket replacements. When exposed to maximum bakeout conditions of 450°C (842°F), poppet gasket life is reduced to approximately 50 open/close cycles. All-metal inline valves marked as type “V” are dimensionally compatible with Varian all-metal valves, making integration into existing systems seamless. The Type "T" designation in the valve type column pertains to valves designed for either tube weld installation or custom flange attachment.
