Water – Swagelok® Feedthroughs are designed to transfer coolant safely into high vacuum environments, protecting critical components during processes such as electron beam evaporation. High-density electron beams generate significant heat to evaporate Alumina ceramics, requiring water cooling to prevent damage to evaporation crucibles and electromagnetic coils.

MDC Precision offers these feedthroughs in three vacuum mount styles: Conflat® CF, ISO NW Kwik-Flange™, and 1 inch (25.4 mm) Base Plate. Additionally, Liquid Feedthrough tube kits are available for direct welding into a customer’s chamber or custom flange, supplied in weld-tube form only without fittings.

Vacuum mount water feedthroughs are constructed with 0.25 inch (6.35 mm) diameter Type 304 stainless steel tubing and offer three standard fitting options: Weld-tube (plain), 0.25 inch (6.35 mm) Swagelok® compression fittings, or 0.25 inch (6.35 mm) male VCR® metal gasket seal fittings. Mating VCR® female nuts and copper gaskets are sold separately.
