MDC’s Liquid Nitrogen Foreline Traps are engineered for high-efficiency removal of condensable vapors before they enter the vacuum pump or backstream into the vacuum system. Utilizing a cryogenically cooled Type 304 stainless steel surface, these traps deliver complete and permanent trapping of water vapor and other condensables, protecting sensitive vacuum processes.

Liquid nitrogen (LN₂) is added through a fill and vent tube at the top of the trap, which also accommodates an optional customer-supplied liquid level sensor. Reservoir capacities, listed in liters, vary by model and are shown in the product tables.

Regeneration is simple—isolate the trap from the vacuum system and remove the band clamp to separate the upper and lower body sections. Traps are available with connection options including CF flanges, ISO KF, ISO LF and Hose connections
