MDC Precision Double Density Type-D Instrumentation Feedthroughs are engineered to provide high-density electrical connectivity for advanced vacuum instrumentation and control systems. Designed to meet MIL-DTL-83513 specifications, these multipin feedthroughs enable efficient transmission of multiple electrical signals through vacuum barriers while maintaining ultra-high vacuum (UHV) integrity to 1×10⁻¹⁰ Torr. Each assembly features gold-plated Be-Cu alloy pins hermetically sealed in a stainless-steel shell using advanced glass-ceramic bonding and PEEK insulation, ensuring long-term electrical and vacuum performance under demanding operating conditions.

Available in 15-, 26-, and 44-pin configurations, Double Density Type-D feedthroughs provide twice the contact capacity of standard Type-D connectors in the same footprint. Mounting options include Conflat® (CF) for metal-seal applications up to 250 °C, Kwik-Flange™ (ISO KF) for quick-coupling environments up to 150 °C, and Large-Flange™ (ISO LF) for higher-diameter installations. These feedthroughs support 300 VDC and 10 A per pin operation and are suitable for use in UHV, HV, and clean-vacuum systems across a range of industries, including semiconductor fabrication, surface analysis, thin-film deposition, and research laboratories.

Each feedthrough includes an air-side connector for wiring integration, while in-vacuum Kapton® ribbon cables and PEEK connectors are available separately for complete system builds. The hermetic, corrosion-resistant stainless-steel construction and high-temperature glass-to-metal seals make MDC’s Double Density Type-D series ideal for environments where space efficiency, electrical reliability, and vacuum integrity are critical.
