Power – Water Cooled Feedthroughs are designed for applications where high currents and power dissipation require efficient thermal management. These feedthroughs operate with grounded, closed-loop cooling systems and nonconductive coolants such as deionized water or ethylene glycol.

When using plain tap water, the system must be properly grounded and employ nonconductive materials like polypropylene tubing to ensure safe operation. Grounded water lines provide a dissipation path for any electrical power conducted by the coolant.

Unlike standard feedthroughs, power ratings for water-cooled feedthroughs are dependent on coolant flow rates and their heat dissipation capacity. Since tap water temperatures vary by region, users must determine safe, practical flow rates to meet specific power requirements.
