The Standard Gimbal Port Aligner offers precision angular adjustment for vacuum system interfaces, using a three-plate gimbal geometry to deliver up to 15° of tilt along both the X and Y axes. The assembly consists of three parallel, equidistant aluminum plates, joined in a universal joint configuration.

The center plate remains neutral, while the top and bottom plates are equipped with either micrometer actuators or economical screw-type adjusters for fine tilt control. When disengaged, eight coil springs return the plates to a parallel, neutral position—ensuring automatic alignment reset.

This model is compatible with MDC-formed bellows adapters for 1.25" and 2.00" (31.75 mm and 50.8 mm) bore diameters, though these flexible adapters are sold separately. The CF flange interface ensures easy integration with UHV systems.
