MDC’s 45° Elbows with Tangents provide a smooth, ultra-high vacuum (UHV)-rated connection between two Conflat® (CF) flanges of different sizes, allowing directional transitions in vacuum piping layouts. Engineered with a precision-formed 45-degree bend and straight tangent sections at both ends, these elbows ensure accurate alignment and weldable integration into complex vacuum systems.

Each elbow is fabricated from high-quality 304 stainless steel, ensuring corrosion resistance and long-term vacuum stability. The smaller flange is rotatable, offering installation flexibility and easy bolt-hole alignment during assembly. Designed for demanding UHV performance, these elbows are rated down to 1×10⁻¹³ Torr (1.33×10⁻¹¹ Pa) and can withstand bakeout temperatures up to 450°C (842°F).
