MDC rotary motion feedthroughs are designed to deliver precise, continuous rotation in high vacuum (HV) and ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) environments. These vacuum-compatible precision instruments are ideal for demanding in-vacuum sample handling and positioning applications.

The standard rotary models feature 360° laser-etched scales marked in 5° increments for accurate positioning. A welded stainless steel bellows with an off-axis wobble design and rotary shaft bearing supports ensures long-term performance and durability. High-temperature models are built entirely of 304 stainless steel, suitable for bakeout temperatures up to 100°C (212°F).

MDC also offers:

Pneumatic drive rotary units: Adjustable between 30° and 90°, ideal for in-vacuum shutters and two-position actuation.
Miniature rotary feedthroughs: Compact design for tight spaces, supporting torques up to 20 oz-in (0.14 N·m).
Precision rotary instruments: High-accuracy movement with 0.1° resolution and minimal backlash.
Magnetically coupled rotary units: Bellows-free UHV rotation, supporting light-duty applications up to 20 oz-in (0.14 N·m).
Direct drive rotary feedthroughs: Manual or motorized operation at speeds up to 300 rpm, sealed with a preloaded Viton® elastomer.
Differentially pumped direct drive versions: Deliver up to 100 lb-in (11.3 N·m) of torque at 500 rpm, compatible with 10⁻⁹ Torr UHV via a 1/8" (3.18 mm) pipe thread pumping port.

All models are available with Conflat® CF and Kwik-Flange™ ISO KF port mounts.
